Scrum Master

About the Role

Astek is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves championing the delivery of services using Agile methodologies, facilitating Scrum events, and coaching the team to achieve its full potential. The Scrum Master will play a key role in ensuring smooth workflows, removing impediments, and fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the development team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
• Facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.
• Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress in alignment with the Project Manager.
• Ensure transparency of the Scrum process and progress.
• Assist the Project Manager in providing insights into the team's progress and performance.
• Assist the Product Owner in maintaining and refining the Product Backlog.
• Promote continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and helping the team implement agreed-upon actions.
• Foster close collaboration within the Scrum team and with the Product Owner and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education and experience.
• Certified Scrum Master.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments with a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience.
• Strong understanding of Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and Lean practices.
