Senior Architect

About the Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Senior Architect to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires extensive experience in building construction and fit-out projects, specifically within 5-star hotels and luxury hospitality developments. The Senior Architect will be responsible for overseeing architectural works, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring project execution aligns with approved designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise architectural works throughout the construction and fit-out phases.
• Review and coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, interior design, and other relevant disciplines.
• Review construction drawings to ensure compliance with approved design and project specifications.
• Monitor site execution to ensure architectural works meet required quality, design, and finishing standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review and approve materials, samples, mock-ups, and method statements related to architectural works.
• Monitor progress of architectural and fit-out activities and identify potential delays or technical issues.
• Ensure proper implementation of hotel finishes, interiors, partitions, ceilings, flooring, doors, joinery, and other architectural elements.
• Review RFIs, technical queries, and design changes, coordinating necessary approvals.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Support the project team in achieving quality, schedule, and project objectives.
• Ensure proper preparation and completion of as-built drawings and handover documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in architectural roles.
• Demonstrated strong experience in building construction and fit-out projects.
• Specific experience with 5-star hotels and luxury hospitality developments is required.

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time position. The Senior Architect will work within a project-focused environment, collaborating with various teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality architectural outcomes.
