Depa Interiors is seeking a Senior BIM Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring technical accuracy and effective coordination across interior fit-out projects. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in BIM specialization.

Role Overview

The Senior BIM Specialist is responsible for the technical aspects, coordination, and validation of BIM deliverables throughout interior fit-out projects. This position bridges the gap between modeling and BIM management by ensuring technical accuracy, constructability, and strict compliance with BIM standards. The specialist supports the coordinators in driving digital delivery excellence, leads modeling activities, mentors junior team members, and supports accurate execution across the project lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and manage highly detailed and accurate 3D BIM models for complex interior fit-out projects, encompassing partitions, ceilings, joinery, custom features, and specialized components, ensuring strict compliance with project requirements, BEP, LOD, and LOI.
• Lead and oversee BIM model development from a technical and engineering perspective, ensuring constructability and alignment with project requirements.
• Review and validate BIM models and construction documentation for technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and coordination readiness.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), modeling standards, and LOD/LOI requirements.
• Review subcontractor and third-party BIM submissions to ensure compliance with project and company standards.
• Contribute to as-built and handover model preparation in alignment with client and FM requirements.

BIM Coordination and Technical Guidance

• Lead complex coordination and clash resolution activities, providing technical solutions and guidance to modeling teams.
• Serve as a key technical resource in the BIM coordination process by collaborating closely with architects, structure and MEP engineers, subcontractors, and the BIM coordination team to integrate multidisciplinary models, ensuring full interoperability and clash-free coordination.
• Support construction teams by resolving technical queries, extracting accurate information from BIM models, and supporting site coordination.
• Proactively conduct and manage clash detection exercises using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software, identify conflicts across disciplines, lead the resolution process, and verify that all systems and elements are properly coordinated and represented to meet design and construction criteria.
• Guide and mentor Senior BIM Modelers and BIM Modelers in technical best practices and advanced BIM methodologies.
• Support the BIM Coordinators in quality control processes, ensuring all BIM deliverables meet organizational standards and client expectations prior to submission.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and logs related to modeling activities, clash resolutions, and coordination status for traceability and project reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time role should possess 2-5 years of experience in a BIM specialist capacity, with a focus on interior fit-out projects. A strong technical background in BIM modeling, coordination, and adherence to industry standards is essential.
