Senior CAD/GIS Technician Metro

About the Role

Egis is seeking an experienced Senior CAD/GIS Technician to join the Metro Project Management and Construction Management team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves applying advanced technical expertise in computer-aided design and geographic information systems to support metro infrastructure projects. The Senior CAD/GIS Technician will contribute to the planning, design, and execution phases of these projects.

Role Overview

As a senior-level technician, this position is responsible for producing detailed technical drawings, conducting spatial data analysis, and coordinating with various project teams. The role also includes mentoring junior technicians to ensure project success and adherence to technical standards. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive CAD models and technical drawings for metro infrastructure projects using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct spatial analysis and create detailed GIS maps to support project planning, design, and decision-making processes.
• Manage and organize project data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established technical standards and protocols.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams to translate design requirements into precise technical documentation.
• Analyze project requirements and provide technical recommendations to optimize design efficiency and feasibility.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior CAD/GIS technicians, fostering professional development and maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare and update project databases, ensuring all spatial and design information is current and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of technical drawings and GIS data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CAD and GIS data for comprehensive project visualization and analysis.
• Document technical processes, maintain project records, and generate reports as required for project tracking and compliance.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a CAD/GIS technician role, preferably within infrastructure or metro projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in computer-aided design and geographic information systems.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time role within the Metro Project Management and Construction Management team at Egis.
