About the Senior Coordinator Insurance Operations Role
Guy Carpenter is seeking a Senior Coordinator Insurance Operations to join its Operations team in Al Olaya, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, hybrid position requires working at least three days a week in the office and is exclusively open to Saudi Nationals only. The role is integral to the end-to-end lifecycle of Re-insurance Broking, offering an opportunity to enhance knowledge and leadership skills while leading Change Management initiatives during system and process migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in knowledge sharing forums across various locations.
- Collaborate on complex reinsurance developments and provide training, mentoring, and guidance within the team on reinsurance service processing.
- Offer insights into technical jargon and clarify procedures.
- Participate in System Release Testing, including enhancements, regression, and bug reporting.
- Mentor and train team members for technical and professional growth.
- Manage an assigned client portfolio, including transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries, collateral, and accurate system entry.
- Assess and submit client and reinsurer communications to resolve queries and secure agreements for claims and account balances.
- Work with Fiduciary and collections teams to assist in fund recovery.
- Manage timely settlement of funds to and from clients, ensuring all payment conditions are met and taking ownership of the end-to-end process.
- Interact with internal departments such as Compliance and Finance on sensitive matters.
- Network with external groups to expand technical knowledge.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Participate in internal and external audits at the team level and ensure compliance mandates are met.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Role Integration and Development Timeline
The initial period in this role involves a structured development path:
- Within 30 days: Gain in-depth knowledge of the services handled and understand role requirements.
- Within 60 days: Attain competency and develop a strong understanding of processes and systems.
- Within 90 days: Be able to technically lead the team, serve as a single point of contact for technical escalations and process improvements, and lead discussions with Clients, Re-insurers, Business units, and Placing brokers.
Required Experience and Attributes
Candidates should possess 3-5 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of technical and functional insurance and reinsurance concepts, terms, and contract clauses.
- Basic understanding of market practices within technical domain areas.
- Ability to mentor and coach colleagues, fostering commitment towards team and organizational goals.
- A positive attitude and willingness to propose and implement process enhancements in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with markets, legislations, regulators, and procedures governing the business.
- Technical aptitude, analytical skills, and the capacity to acquire subject matter expertise on existing and new processes.
- Current knowledge of developments impacting the business.
- Capability to engage, influence, and negotiate professionally with clients, markets, and colleagues.
- Consistent delivery of superior client service.
- Strong ability to manage workload effectively to meet expectations of customers and stakeholders.
- Proven track record in delivering change, including process and people impacts, and process improvement.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring technical experts.
- In-depth knowledge of Reinsurance concepts, Market systems, general business trends, and financial and regulatory impacts.

Work Environment and Location
This role is based in Al Olaya, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a hybrid model, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. It is a full-time position within the Operations team at Guy Carpenter.
