Senior Database Administrator

About the Role

TestCrew | Quality Engineering & Software Testing is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires strong expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases, with a focus on administration, high availability, and performance tuning across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
• Design and manage PostgreSQL High Availability using Patroni, etcd/Consul, HAProxy, and PgBouncer.
• Implement and manage PostgreSQL backup and recovery using pgBackRest.
• Manage MySQL High Availability using Percona XtraDB Cluster (PXC).
• Perform database replication, migration, upgrades, backup, and restoration.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Implement database security, access controls, and compliance best practices.
• Automate database administration and operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.
• Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity solutions.
• Troubleshoot database incidents and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
• Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and recovery plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in database administration.
• Experience managing highly available and mission-critical database environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments.
• Relevant Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Linux, or cloud certifications.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
