Senior Director Logistics

About the Role

The Red Sea Coastal Trading Company (RSCTC) is seeking a Senior Director - Contract Logistics to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role reports to the Head of Logistics of Supply Chain and Logistics and is responsible for overseeing the successful operations of the RSG supply chain, transportation, and logistics for the destination. The Senior Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and world-class operations for various resorts, including catering, laundry, and other logistical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of the annual business plan and targets, and execute the strategic agenda of the department to align with RSG's vision and mission.
• Implement the Supply Chain and Logistics departmental strategy, monitoring performance and execution to achieve functional objectives and support the company’s overall strategy.
• Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, adhering to strategic project management plans, policies, and procedures.
• Build and lead a motivated, engaged, and competent team by setting priorities, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget and monitor financial performance against the budget to identify areas for improvement and capitalize on potential opportunities.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain and logistics functions across all resorts, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Oversee vendor management, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality goods and services.
• Implement SCM systems to enhance supply chain and logistics operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate transportation and distribution of goods, overseeing delivery schedules and ensuring timely arrivals.
• Monitor and analyze operational costs related to transportation, procurement, storage, and distribution, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Lead the development of quality control standards for all incoming supplies, ensuring consistency and meeting hospitality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, legal requirements, and company policies, mitigating risk in all supply chain and logistics activities.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
• Prepare accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements.
• Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies and procedures to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes, and practices.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in a relevant field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, focusing on the logistics and supply chain operations for Red Sea Coastal Trading Company's destination resorts.
