Director Logistics (MAS )

About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Director Logistics (MAS) to lead the development, governance, and implementation of the construction logistics strategy across an assigned district or portfolio of districts. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the district construction logistics strategy, establishing the operating model, priorities, governance, and performance requirements.
• Translate city-wide logistics requirements into coordinated district plans and delivery actions, providing strategic logistics advice to leadership and project teams.
• Direct the preparation, review, and implementation of District Logistics Plans, integrating requirements with master plans, development programs, and construction packages.
• Oversee construction access, haul routes, traffic management, temporary facilities, staging areas, and logistics compounds.
• Act as the senior district point of contact for construction logistics, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and authorities.
• Establish monitoring, assurance, and reporting arrangements for district logistics performance, ensuring compliance and directing corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Oversee logistics planning for testing, commissioning, venue activation, and phased asset handover, coordinating the transition of temporary logistics arrangements.

Strategy and Leadership

This role involves providing strategic leadership for district logistics planning, construction access, traffic management, haul routes, temporary land use, contractor interfaces, and operational readiness. The Director ensures that logistics requirements are integrated with district development programs, infrastructure delivery, venue activation, and asset handover. The position also includes leading, managing, and developing the district logistics team, with clear accountabilities and decision authorities.

Stakeholder Management and Delivery Assurance

The Director will lead coordination efforts with various stakeholders, chair district logistics meetings, and resolve significant logistics conflicts. This includes representing logistics requirements at governance and stage-gate meetings. The role also involves establishing monitoring and reporting arrangements for logistics performance, ensuring contractor logistics plans are implemented, and managing logistics risks, safety, security, environmental, permitting, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Transport Planning, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 18 years of relevant professional experience, including significant leadership experience in construction logistics.
• Proven experience leading logistics strategy and delivery on large-scale, complex, or multi-package developments.
• Strong experience in logistics master planning, construction traffic management, access planning, and haul-route coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate multiple contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, infrastructure interfaces, and phased development programs.
• Experience in risk management, operational readiness, and phased asset handover.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
