Role Context and Project Overview

The Senior Geotechnical Manager will play a pivotal role in a major mixed-use development project in Saudi Arabia. This significant programme encompasses sports facilities, entertainment venues, arts complexes, and all associated infrastructure. As a key delivery partner, Mace Group requires experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout the project phases. This position is available on a part-time basis, with flexible and hybrid working options open for discussion where suitable within the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver annual business plan objectives within agreed deadlines and budget constraints.
• Lead and manage geotechnical design resources, overseeing the delivery of geotechnical design services across multiple projects.
• Present management review data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project and functional leadership teams.
• Support business development, work-winning initiatives, and the delivery of training and capability development programs.
• Ensure compliance with management systems, project governance, and defined roles and responsibilities.
• Act as the primary focal point for geotechnical design matters, driving continuous improvement in delivery plans, technical standards, tools, and processes.
• Influence procurement strategies, contractual and legal matters, and promote technical excellence through effective stakeholder collaboration.
• Support net zero carbon objectives by proactively identifying, managing, and reducing carbon emissions while leveraging organizational knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
• Significant experience leading geotechnical design teams and delivering major infrastructure or building projects.
