Senior OpenShift & CP I Operations Engineer

About the Role

Systems Arabia is seeking a Senior OpenShift & CP I Operations Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on the architecture, deployment, security, and management of Red Hat OpenShift and IBM CP4I platforms within hybrid cloud environments. The engineer will ensure high availability and continuous automated pipeline scaling for IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, architect, install, and configure Red Hat OpenShift clusters across hybrid cloud environments.
• Provision the core IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) platform using Operator Lifecycle Managers (OLM).
• Manage and lifecycle-configure core CP4I capabilities through IBM operators, including IBM MQ, API Connect, App Connect (ACE), Event Streams (Kafka), and Aspera.
• Secure cluster infrastructures by enforcing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), managing Red Hat OpenShift OAuth integrations, Keycloak/IAM identity layers, and SSL/TLS certificate configurations.
• Architect container persistent storage layers using Software-Defined Storage engines.
• Schedule seamless cluster upgrades, security patching, and node updates with a zero-downtime objective.
• Configure APM surveillance dashboards and automate multi-tenant provisioning using GitOps paradigms.
• Systematically troubleshoot complex cluster degradation events, persistent volume failures, and pod networking drops.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to coordinate systematic fixes and clear mitigation strategies under pressure, ensuring high-availability platforms remain operational.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating across remote and hybrid teams.
• Capability to translate complex container infrastructure into clear deployment guidance.
• A strong commitment to automation, infrastructure-as-code consistency, and platform compliance, while minimizing manual configuration practices.
