About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Planning Manager to join its PMCM team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to managing program-wide project controls and scheduling activities, ensuring the accuracy of the Program Master Schedule. The Senior Planning Manager will lead and develop the planning and scheduling team, overseeing their performance in schedule development, analysis, reporting, and progress evaluation. This position involves significant interaction with the Client, Project Director, Contracts Managers, Design and Engineering teams, Construction Directors, and Consultants, providing oversight for all construction scheduling activities. The role reports directly to the Project Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Provide guidance and specialized assistance to the project team for resolving complex planning issues.
  • Lead and manage the planning team, offering mentorship and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Interface with clients and PMCM consultants, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure planning activities align with overall business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, industry developments, and internal data to inform planning decisions.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on planning activities, progress, and outcomes to senior management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Continuously improve planning processes and methodologies.
  • Assess the impact of design and construction changes and schedule slippages.
  • Support and perform the integration of scope, cost, and schedule within the WBS to ensure accurate ongoing mapping.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 15 years of work experience in project control and scheduling of engineering and construction activities, including supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Extensive experience with projects at the design stage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
  • Knowledgeable of current Primavera Enterprise Systems scheduling technology and its effective utilization.
  • Familiar with AI scheduling technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience with PMCM services.
  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
