About the Role
HanmiGlobal MENA is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves managing and executing advanced quantity surveying functions across major construction and infrastructure projects, contributing to the successful delivery of commercial objectives.
Role Scope and Objectives
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for comprehensive cost management throughout all project stages. This includes critical functions such as cost planning, detailed estimation, procurement support, contract administration, and meticulous commercial reporting. The role ensures financial oversight and control from project inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost planning, estimation, and budget management from project inception to completion.
- Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and other commercial documentation.
- Support procurement activities, including subcontractor evaluations, cost assessments, and negotiations.
- Monitor and control project costs, track variations, and implement value-for-money strategies.
- Administer contracts in accordance with relevant forms (*, FIDIC, NEC, bespoke), including handling claims, variations, and commercial correspondence.
- Assess and certify interim and final payments for contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct cost analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting for internal teams and clients.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of commercial, financial, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure proper commercial governance.
- Maintain accurate cost records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically within major construction and infrastructure projects. A strong understanding of various contract forms, such as FIDIC and NEC, is essential for effective contract administration and commercial management.
Work Setting
This is a full-time role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will operate within a collaborative environment, working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to uphold commercial governance standards across all assigned projects.
