About Nihon Kohden Middle East and the Role

Nihon Kohden Middle East is seeking a Senior Regional Sales Specialist, Ventilation & Respiratory Care, to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for driving the commercial growth of a clinically important portfolio across a diverse, high-potential region. The role involves bringing Japanese engineering precision to the forefront of respiratory care within the Middle East market.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on commercial leadership role focused on accelerating the growth of the ventilation and respiratory-care business. The specialist will be comfortable engaging in clinical discussions within an ICU setting, conducting distributor business reviews, formulating major tender strategies, and managing management forecasts. The position requires close partnership with Product, Clinical Applications, Service, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure comprehensive support and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver regional revenue, margin, product-mix, and market-development objectives.
  • Create focused country and account plans based on market potential, installed base, funding cycles, and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead distributors through clear annual plans, structured reviews, capability development, and accountable follow-up.
  • Build trusted relationships with hospital executives, intensivists, anaesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, nurses, biomedical engineers, and procurement teams.
  • Lead major opportunities and tenders, including qualification, solution design, demonstrations, pricing strategy, cross-functional coordination, and executive sponsorship.
  • Translate approved clinical and technical capabilities into compelling, evidence-based customer value propositions.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and forecast, identify risks early, and take decisive recovery action.
  • Maintain and actively follow the sales pipeline, opportunities, quotations, and tenders.
  • Represent the voice of the market internally and support product launches, congresses, workshops, and strategic reference sites.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality, ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A proven record of winning complex hospital, government, or group-procurement opportunities and tenders.
  • Clinical confidence to engage critical-care stakeholders and commercial discipline to manage price, margin, pipeline, and forecast.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the assigned region.
