About the Role

Mace is expanding its rail capabilities across the Middle East and is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This role is integral to shaping and delivering ambitious transport programmes within the region.

Role Context and Purpose

As Mace grows its presence in the Middle East, this position will contribute to a high-calibre talent pool supporting the next phase of development. The role requires professionals experienced in major rail or infrastructure programmes, capable of operating effectively in complex, fast-paced delivery environments. A collaborative mindset and commitment to excellence are essential for partnering with clients and delivering lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver risk management performance across assigned commissions, including the development and implementation of risk frameworks and strategies.
  • Provide direction to clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on all risk-related matters, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Offer expert guidance on risk processes, ensuring effective identification, assessment, escalation, and management of risks impacting project objectives.
  • Facilitate and lead risk workshops to identify opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and minimize overall risk exposure.
  • Ensure risk mitigation plans are developed, ownership is assigned, and actions are tracked and integrated into project plans.
  • Lead the delivery of quantitative risk analysis for cost and schedule, including assessing contingency adequacy within regular reporting cycles.
  • Produce and present comprehensive risk reports to clients and internal teams, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and relevant legislation.
  • Manage and mentor team members, support resource planning and recruitment, integrate risk with planning and PMO functions, and promote sustainability objectives, including carbon reduction.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess proven experience in major rail or infrastructure programmes. The ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced delivery environments is required. A collaborative mindset and a commitment to excellence are also key attributes for this role.
