About iBuild and the Role
iBuild, founded in 2025 in Riyadh, is a startup focused on transforming the building materials market in Saudi Arabia through innovative digital solutions. The company addresses fragmented traditional supply chains by offering a centralized, technology-driven marketplace where suppliers and buyers connect with confidence. We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead buyer acquisition efforts in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Role Overview
This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to drive the buyer-side sales strategy. The Senior Sales Manager will be instrumental in identifying, targeting, and acquiring contractors, developers, and project owners to become active buyers on the iBuild platform, ensuring simplicity, transparency, and efficiency in material procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the buyer-side sales strategy by identifying, targeting, and acquiring contractors, developers, and project owners as active buyers on the platform.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of construction projects and procurement decision-makers (procurement managers, project engineers, site managers, purchasing officers).
- Lead the full sales cycle end-to-end: prospecting, discovery, product demo, quotation, negotiation, and closing both first and repeat orders.
- Develop and refine the sales playbook including targeting, messaging, objection handling, and pricing conversations.
- Diagnose each buyer's real blockers (credit and payment terms, delivery reliability, pricing, existing supplier relationships) and work cross-functionally to remove them.
- Partner closely with the supplier team to ensure catalog depth, availability, and pricing match buyer demand.
- Negotiate volume and framework agreements with larger contractors and high-value repeat buyers.
- Set targets for and mentor junior sales staff, reviewing pipeline and performance on a weekly basis.
- Own and report on core demand metrics like active buyers, orders placed, GMV, conversion rate, and repeat-order rate.
- Represent iBuild with contractors and developers at project sites, industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities.
- Feed structured market and buyer insights back to product and leadership to shape the roadmap.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in buyer acquisition and sales cycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and playbooks.
- Experience in negotiating complex agreements and managing client relationships.
- Ability to analyze sales performance metrics and provide market insights.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding sales team members.
Work Type and Location
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active engagement with clients and industry stakeholders at various locations within the region.
