About Tahaluf and the Role

Tahaluf is Saudi Arabia's largest B2B live and on-demand events organiser, operating as a joint venture between Informa PLC, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP), and the Events Investment Fund (EIF). The company is recognized for major events such as LEAP, Cityscape, Black Hat MEA, and CPHI Middle East. This Social Media Manager role is a 6-month contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with remote work options available.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for leading Tahaluf's social media presence, combining strategic agency management with direct content delivery. This involves overseeing external agencies and creators while managing in-house strategy, content boosting, community engagement, and performance tracking across various platforms.

Core Responsibilities

The Social Media Manager will support overarching marketing strategies and commercial objectives by increasing brand engagement, fostering community growth, and executing social media campaigns. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with social and creative agencies, including briefing, creative direction, and quality control.
  • Developing and implementing social media campaigns aligned with marketing strategies and event milestones.
  • Planning and executing boosting strategies for organic content to reach targeted audiences.
  • Scheduling, posting, and engaging with social content, fostering community growth year-round.
  • Employing a metrics-driven approach to track performance, report on KPIs, and gather insights.
  • Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Agency and Content Management

  • Own day-to-day agency relationships, providing clear, insight-led briefs, creative direction, feedback, and final sign-off.
  • Manage agency workflows, content calendars, and deadlines across multiple parallel events, ensuring timely and on-brand delivery.
  • Quality-control all agency output for brand voice, visual identity, accuracy, and platform fit, acting as the final checkpoint.
  • Review agency performance regularly against agreed KPIs and deliverables, managing scopes and escalating issues.
  • Identify opportunities to move work in-house and brief internal designers and videographers for speed-sensitive tasks.
  • Ensure copywriting excellence, creating and editing impactful, channel-appropriate copy with flawless English proofreading; Arabic is a strong advantage.
  • Deliver live event coverage by directing agency or on-site teams to capture, edit, and publish content in real time during show days.

Social Media Strategy and Performance

  • Set and implement social media campaigns aligned with marketing strategies and event milestones.
  • Design and deliver targeted content across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube, including short-form video optimized for each platform's algorithm.
  • Maintain the brand voice in all posts and interactions, ensuring content purpose and target audience needs are met.
  • Plan and execute boosting strategies, identifying top-performing organic content for paid amplification to targeted audiences.
  • Manage boosting budgets, audience targeting, and A/B testing of creative and copy to maximize reach and conversion efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the paid media team to ensure boosted content complements broader paid campaigns.
  • Retarget engaged social audiences to drive registrations and commercial outcomes.
  • Schedule, post, and engage with all social content, responding to comments, messages, and queries in a timely manner.
  • Grow and maintain the community year-round, identifying and working with influencers, industry voices, and advocates.
  • Encourage and curate user-generated content from attendees, exhibitors, and partners.
  • Employ a metrics-driven approach, tracking and reporting monthly on reach, engagement, follower growth, traffic, and conversions.
  • Utilize social listening to monitor brand sentiment, competitor activity, and market trends, feeding insights into plans.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in social media marketing, with demonstrable experience managing external agencies or creative teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube is essential.
  • Proven experience running boosted and paid social campaigns, including budget management and audience targeting (*, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Strong creative judgment, with the ability to brief, critique, and improve agency work effectively.
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (*, Sprout, Hootsuite, or native platforms).
  • English fluency is essential; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.

Work Environment and Contract Details

This is a 6-month contract role that can be performed remotely. Relocation or sponsorship support is not available for this position. Tahaluf fosters a culture of collaboration, creativity, and fun.
