Software Engineering Senior Expert

About the Role

Takamol Holding is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Expert to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on providing technical leadership, defining architectural standards, and overseeing the development and integration of enterprise-scale software solutions. The expert will guide engineering teams, manage technical risks, and ensure adherence to best practices across various technical domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain software architecture principles, standards, and technical guidelines.
• Design scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable software solutions, reviewing and approving major technical designs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to software engineering teams, mentoring senior engineers and technical leads.
• Design and oversee integrations between internal systems, external platforms, government systems, partners, and third-party services.
• Provide technical oversight for software development and technology vendors, reviewing proposals and ensuring compliance.
• Participate in product and software release planning, coordinating with various teams to ensure readiness and successful deployment.
• Establish and enforce software engineering standards, best practices, and technical governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and Product Management to translate requirements into technical solutions and align roadmaps.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or related technical roles.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale software platforms.
• Strong technical leadership experience across engineering teams and complex technical initiatives.
• Expertise in software architecture, system design, APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and Agile delivery.
• Experience with external vendors, SDLC, release management, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of application security, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Preferred Experience

• Leading multiple software products, platforms, or technical teams.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise or government platforms.
• Experience with cybersecurity, regulatory, data governance, or compliance requirements.
• Managing technology vendors, outsourced development teams, and technical RFP evaluations.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms, containers, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps environments.
• Leading application modernization, digital transformation, technical roadmaps, and engineering standards.
