About the Role

W Hotels is seeking a dedicated SPA Therapist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves delivering a range of massage and body treatments to guests, ensuring a professional and comfortable experience. The role requires a commitment to guest satisfaction, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a high standard of service within the spa environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide massage services to guests using appropriate props and products.
• Administer body treatments, including body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy before commencing services.
• Stay informed about current techniques and modalities relevant to spa therapy.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings.

Guest Experience and Professional Conduct

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and security throughout the service.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, developing and maintaining positive working relationships.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.

Operational Duties and Workplace Maintenance

• Arrange workstation, treatment room, and drapes as required.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and treatment room throughout the shift.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Monitor and adhere to the time schedule throughout the day.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• License/Certification: A valid State or Regional Massage License.
• Ability to maintain current skills and licensure as per regional requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
