Specialist Draftsman

About the Role

Coastal Contracting Company is seeking a Specialist - Draftsman to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for preparing, developing, and maintaining detailed technical drawings and plans for various construction and development projects. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Context

The Draftsman will focus on projects related to golf course construction, landscape development, irrigation systems, drainage networks, cart paths, golf facilities, and associated infrastructure. The role involves close collaboration with golf course architects, engineers, project managers, agronomy teams, and contractors to ensure the accurate and timely production of drawings that support project delivery and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings and BIM modeling for golf course construction and development projects.
• Develop plans, profiles, sections, and details for golf course features including tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, lakes, cart paths, bridges, and practice facilities.
• Prepare irrigation and drainage layouts, including pump station drawings, in coordination with irrigation engineers and golf course consultants.
• Update and revise drawings based on design changes, site requirements, and management feedback.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and project closeout documentation.
• Conduct site visits to collect measurements and verify field conditions.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure drawing integration and consistency.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain document control for all drawing revisions, submissions, and approvals.
• Produce shop drawings and detailed construction drawings for subcontractors and partners.
• Support project planning and execution by providing accurate drafting and technical documentation.
• Prepare presentation drawings and visual plans when required.
• Review consultant and contractor drawings to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
• Maintain drawing templates, standards, and CAD libraries for golf projects.
• Stay updated on drafting technologies, software advancements, and golf course construction best practices.

Experience and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a drafting role, preferably within construction, landscape, or related fields.
• Proficiency in CAD software and BIM modeling.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and standards.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, requiring collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors.
