About the Role

Team Saudi is seeking a Specialist General Ledger & Control to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and is responsible for managing General Ledger (GL) activities within the committee, sports federations, and entities affiliated with Shared Services and Solutions (SS&S).

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain and manage the general ledger, including making necessary journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and corrections to ensure accurate financial records. The Specialist will oversee the integrity and accuracy of financial data, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and support the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the organization’s general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all required pre-reporting transactions and journal entries are posted in line with established procedures, authorization policies, and agreed deadlines.
  • Perform all necessary reconciliations in adherence to policy and other guidelines.
  • Facilitate the production of financial reporting information for auditors, SOPC personnel, and authorized third parties.
  • Run reports and analyses as required by the SOPC within agreed deadlines and with attention to quality.
  • Cooperate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Prepare reconciliation of open items within deadlines set by SOPC.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including cash, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
  • Contact Federations/Associations to resolve reconciliation queries, problems, and discrepancies.
  • Maintain adequate documentation based on SOPC’s record retention policy.
  • Support the organization’s financial transparency, bookkeeping accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage general ledger activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
