The Role: Senior Risk Engineer

As a Project Senior Risk Engineer, you will serve as an experienced technical expert, providing leadership in the execution of the project's risk management program. This full-time role involves leading complex quantitative analyses, facilitating high-level risk workshops, and ensuring the quality and integrity of all risk data. The Senior Risk Engineer acts as a key technical advisor on risk matters and is responsible for mentoring junior engineers, ensuring the consistent application of best practices across the team. This position does not involve direct people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex qualitative and quantitative risk analyses (QSRA/QCRA) for critical project areas.
• Plan and facilitate risk identification, assessment, and review workshops with senior project personnel and key stakeholders.
• Oversee the maintenance and quality control of the project risk register, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Develop, evaluate, and champion the implementation of effective risk mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Monitor and measure the performance of mitigation actions and report on their effectiveness to project management.
• Prepare and present detailed risk reports, analyses, and briefings to project management, translating complex data into clear business insights.
• Interface with project controls functions to ensure alignment between risk analysis outputs and project forecasts.
• Provide technical supervision, mentorship, and quality oversight for Junior and Project Risk Engineers.
• Oversee the quality and integrity of the project risk register, ensuring team adherence to established procedures.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a large-scale construction or engineering environment. The position requires strong analytical capabilities for complex quantitative analyses, proven facilitation skills for high-level workshops, and a meticulous approach to data quality and integrity. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and advise on best practices in risk management is essential.

Compensation and Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. Compensation includes living allowances, a performance bonus, and merit increases, reflecting a commitment to employee recognition and growth within a dynamic project environment.
