Sr. Test Analyst

About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a Sr. Test Analyst for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role focuses on validating complex web services and application programming interfaces (APIs) for enterprise billing and revenue management systems. The Sr. Test Analyst will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test scenarios to ensure data integrity and high-quality releases for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test strategies and test cases for web services testing using structured query language (SQL) and industry tools to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute thorough API testing for REST and SOAP-based services to verify request-response flows, data accuracy, and integration consistency across systems.
• Create detailed test data sets using SQL queries to validate complex business rules, transformations, and billing scenarios while maintaining data quality standards.
• Utilize Postman to design, automate, and execute collections for regression and smoke testing of critical APIs, enhancing test repeatability.
• Apply SoapUI to model service contracts, create reusable test suites, and validate responses for SOAP-based services.
• Perform end-to-end validation of billing and revenue management workflows by combining UI tests, SQL-based data checks, and API validations.
• Document clear, reproducible defects with detailed steps, logs, payloads, and SQL evidence for efficient triage and resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product analysts, and operations partners to clarify requirements, review interface designs, and align test coverage.
• Analyze test execution results to identify trends, recurring defects, and coverage gaps, proposing improvements in services data validations or test design.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes by refining templates, enhancing test data management, and promoting better use of testing tools.
• Support production readiness by participating in release validations and performing sanity checks on key billing and revenue management flows.
• Maintain clear traceability between requirements, test cases, and execution results to provide transparent quality status and support audit needs.
• Share knowledge on web services testing practices and tools with peers to foster a stronger quality culture.

Required Experience

• Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant experience in test analysis.
