The Project in Riyadh

Mace is engaged in a significant project in Riyadh, providing strategic project management consultancy for major new build stadiums, multiple stadium redevelopments, and wider precinct transformations. This comprehensive scope includes delivering new sports facilities, increasing existing stadia capacity, developing major mixed-use amenities, and implementing robust knowledge transfer programs to ensure operational excellence and long-term sustainability beyond the construction phase.

The Role: Stakeholder Manager

As a full-time Stakeholder Manager in Riyadh, this role provides dedicated stakeholder and communications support to project teams. The position is central to delivering coordinated services that facilitate effective engagement, ensure clear communication, and contribute to successful project outcomes across the various initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the project’s stakeholder engagement and communications strategy.
  • Identify, map, and manage key stakeholders, including clients, government authorities, sporting bodies, utility providers, operators, and local communities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities to secure approvals, permits, and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Coordinate stakeholder requirements and ensure their incorporation into project planning, design, and delivery.
  • Manage stakeholder issues, conflicts, and escalations to minimize impacts on program, cost, and project objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor stakeholder risks, maintain action trackers, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Supervise community engagement initiatives and manage public-facing communications where required.
  • Support the delivery of stakeholder and communications activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to enable successful outcomes.
  • Monitor performance, reporting, and compliance against stakeholder and communications management plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement, strengthening methodologies, integration, and delivery across communications disciplines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • An engineering degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Introductory experience in PMO and project controls services.
  • APM Foundation and Practitioner (or equivalent) certification.
  • A commitment to professional development and progression towards chartered status.
  • Possession of the necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience on high-valued projects/programs for a project management consultancy business, as required for immigration and client approval.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, working within a project management consultancy environment focused on large-scale infrastructure and development projects.
