About Databricks and the Role

Databricks operates at the forefront of Unified Data Analytics and AI, providing solutions that enable customers in Saudi Arabia to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. We are seeking a Strategic Hunter Account Executive Oil & Gas to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on maximizing Databricks' significant market opportunity within the region.

Role Purpose and Scope

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Sales, this role is responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding Databricks' footprint across critical enterprise accounts, with a specific focus on the Oil & Gas sector in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess assigned accounts and develop strategic execution plans.
  • Build a customer base by identifying and closing new logo opportunities.
  • Guide customers and partners in identifying impactful big data and AI use cases, demonstrating their value on the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
  • Identify initial land opportunities and develop subsequent expand and consumption use cases.
  • Orchestrate and leverage internal teams to maximize impact within the ecosystem.
  • Build exceptional value in all engagements to facilitate successful negotiations and deal closure.

Required Professional Experience

  • Proven experience of 5-10 years selling SaaS solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Extensive experience and strong performance in new logo hunting.
  • Experience working in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS industries, including technical sales experience.
  • Successful track record in selling complex software deals and achieving quota over-achievement.
  • Evidence of creating demand that delivered substantial business value.

Essential Skills and Methodologies

  • Knowledge of the Data & AI space, complemented by technology sales experience.
  • Experience following robust sales methodologies and processes, such as account planning, MEDDPICC, and Value Selling, with accurate forecasting.
  • Ability to build effective champions, collaborative teams, and partnerships to support territory plan execution.
  • Understanding of how to identify all key use cases and buying centers within an opportunity to increase Databricks' impact in an organization.
  • An understanding of consumption-based land and expand sales models is advantageous.
