Sustainability Specialist (Site)

About the Role

Egis is seeking a Sustainability Specialist (Site) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability initiatives across site operations. The specialist will work to minimize environmental impact, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance.

Role Purpose and Impact

The primary purpose of this position is to manage and enhance sustainability efforts at the site level. The ideal candidate will be analytical, professional, and committed to achieving measurable positive environmental outcomes, contributing directly to the organization's environmental goals and compliance in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals and Saudi Arabian environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key sustainability metrics including energy consumption, waste generation, water usage, and carbon emissions.
• Collaborate with site management and operational teams to integrate sustainability practices into daily operations.
• Manage sustainability projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency optimization and renewable energy implementation.
• Maintain documentation and records related to environmental compliance, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability awareness and drive behavioral change.
• Prepare sustainability reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders.
• Stay current with evolving environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices in sustainability.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in sustainability or environmental management. The role requires a detail-oriented and forward-thinking individual capable of managing complex environmental initiatives and ensuring regulatory adherence.
