About the Truck Driver Role at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Truck Driver for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to guest services within a hospitality environment.

Core Responsibilities

The primary function of this role is to transport guests safely and efficiently to and from assigned destinations using a property vehicle. This involves meticulous attention to detail in vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as ensuring a professional and courteous guest experience.

Key Duties and Tasks

  • Document all trips accurately before commencement and upon completion.
  • Ensure the property vehicle is parked in its designated location when not in use.
  • Conduct regular inspections of property vehicles to check for any damage or cleanliness issues.
  • Monitor and maintain vehicle fluid levels and tire pressure, refueling as necessary.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document all vehicle-related incidents, including damages or accidents, and submit reports to management.

Professional Conduct and Guest Service

Adherence to company policies and procedures is essential. This includes maintaining a clean and professional appearance, safeguarding proprietary information, and protecting company assets. A key aspect of the role involves welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to established standards, anticipating their needs, and providing assistance, particularly to individuals with disabilities. Effective communication with colleagues using professional language and electronic devices is also a requirement.

Physical Requirements and Safety

This position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks. This includes moving at a speed necessary for work situations, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Candidates must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance. The role may involve navigating uneven or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs and ramps. Continuous use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills, with frequent use of bi-manual and fine motor skills, is expected. Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management and completing required safety training are mandatory.
