Typhoon CM Developer

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Typhoon CM Developer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on developing effective platform-specific Countermeasures (CMs) for the Typhoon aircraft. The role involves identifying vulnerabilities in RF and IR Threat Warning Systems (TWS) and providing recommendations to front-line users, as well as advising the ECM MD production team on CM implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess Threat Warning System (TWS) reports and analyze Countermeasures (CMs).
• Design platform-specific Coordinated Countermeasures (CCMs), including Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), expendables, and maneuvers.
• Generate platform-specific Countermeasure Handbook and Countermeasure Tactics Report descriptions and rationale for all countermeasures and their associated tactics.
• Support the Operations team as necessary to communicate Tactic and CM rationale with relevant stakeholders.
• Plan trials for countermeasure effectiveness.
• Process and analyze data from trials and exercises.
• Develop and maintain relevant processes and procedures.
• Carry out any additional functions as requested by the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in gaining the confidence of a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
• Practical experience in the development and delivery of engineering solutions.
• Experience in the development and application of engineering processes.
• Experience with Aerospace Systems and Support activities.
• Knowledge of the Aeronautical and Defense Company/Industry, with ideally 5 years (minimum 3 years) of experience involved in diverse engineering projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to critical defense projects within BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
