UX Design & Research Consultant

About the Role

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking an experienced UX Design & Research Consultant to support a leading organization in the Banking / Financial Services sector. This is a short-term, remote contract engagement based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on improving digital user experiences.

Role Overview

The consultant will be responsible for delivering UX Design and User Research activities. This role requires a confident, proactive professional with strong communication skills, capable of working independently, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing direct feedback in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Banking or FinTech is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver UX Design and User Research activities to enhance digital user experiences.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and user research to understand user needs and behaviors.
• Translate research findings into actionable UX recommendations and design improvements.
• Develop user journeys, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes as required.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align UX solutions with business objectives.
• Present research insights, communicate design decisions, and manage stakeholder feedback effectively.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in UX Design and User Experience Research.
• Experience conducting User Interviews, Usability Testing, and Qualitative Research.
• Good understanding of User-Centered Design, User Journey Mapping, and UX best practices.
• Ability to translate user research findings into practical UX improvements.
• Familiarity with Figma or similar UX design and prototyping tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, assertive, and adaptable personality with the ability to handle direct feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, short-term consulting engagement.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services.
• Experience working on digital banking platforms, mobile applications, or enterprise digital products.
• Previous experience in remote consulting or contract-based UX projects.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote contract/freelance engagement with an initial duration of 6 weeks, with a possibility of extension. The start date is ASAP.
