VAPT Principal Consultant

About the Role

Hays is seeking a VAPT Principal Consultant to provide strategic leadership and expert technical oversight for Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing practices. This full-time position is based in Riyadh or Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and involves shaping offensive security methodologies and leading complex operations.

Role Context and Impact

As a senior subject matter expert, the VAPT Principal Consultant will lead complex red-team operations and serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders and critical infrastructure clients. The role involves safeguarding key assets and the digital ecosystem within the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the long-term VAPT roadmap and governance model, aligning with global frameworks such as OWASP, PTES, OSSTMM, and NIST 800-115.
• Oversee complex penetration tests across various environments including web, mobile, cloud, IoT, OT/ICS, and wireless.
• Orchestrate adversary emulation and red-team engagements.
• Validate advanced exploitation and lateral movement scenarios.
• Drive the development of proprietary automation tools and threat modeling methodologies.
• Translate technical findings into strategic business-risk insights.
• Present remediation roadmaps directly to executive leadership.
• Mentor consultants and foster a collaborative offensive security culture.
• Design advanced training pathways for team members.

Experience and Qualifications

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
• Experience in leading complex red-team operations.
• Ability to advise C-suite stakeholders on security risks and strategies.
