Wash Attendant (Laundry Attendant)

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Wash Attendant (Laundry Attendant) to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves operating and monitoring laundry machinery to ensure the cleanliness and proper handling of items. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to established procedures for quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate action for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabric types.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles to designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of laundered items.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost-savings.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: No high school diploma or * equivalent is required.
• Related Work Experience: No prior related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None required.
