About the Associate Director Procurement Role
Red Sea Global, a visionary developer committed to quality and sustainability, is seeking an Associate Director Procurement. This role is integral to managing financial risk and contract lifecycle within a dynamic procurement team. The position is full-time and based in Tabuk, with potential involvement in projects in Umluj.
Role Purpose and Context
The Associate Director Procurement will work within an integrated procurement team across multiple projects. The primary focus is on managing and mitigating financial risks associated with service providers. This role involves leading a team of Senior Procurement Managers in the preparation, management, and close-out of contract appointments from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Procurement Director in tender negotiations, focusing on maximizing opportunities and limiting risk.
- Delegate duties and manage a team of Procurement Managers to ensure timely delivery of agreed objectives.
- Manage key stakeholder contracts and accounts, requiring regular liaison with senior management.
- Implement procurement and cost control activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Department Heads to understand service requirements and determine appropriate delivery, contracting, and evaluation methodologies.
- Initiate procurement processes and ensure continuous involvement and communication with requesting departments.
- Develop, monitor, and update cost databases for benchmarking.
- Oversee procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle, including budget management, claims, and variations.
- Provide clarification on contract terms and conditions and assist with contractual disputes.
- Ensure service provider compliance with submission requirements during pre-selection and contract finalization.
- Lead the development, recommendation, negotiation, and administration of contracts.
- Adhere to all relevant functional policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of postgraduate experience is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar leading commercial function.
- Experience working within a large real estate development company is essential.
- Experience with mega construction projects in the UAE or KSA is strongly preferred.
Work Environment and Location
This is a full-time position based in the Tabuk region, with potential project involvement in Umluj and Tabuk. The role operates within a purpose-driven company contributing to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and leading the global movement toward regenerative tourism.
