About the Role

K-Tek Resourcing is seeking a Network Engineer for a full-time position in Duba, Tabuk. This role involves providing comprehensive on-site support for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network issues, including in-depth analysis of connectivity problems, device failures, and cabling issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive on-site support for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network issues, including connectivity problems, device failures, and cabling issues.
• Lead incident response for L1/L2 issues, ensuring resolution or escalation to L3 or end-user support teams.
• Collaborate with remote teams for advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics using specialized tools.
• Perform physical replacement or repair of network, AV, and printer components such as routers, switches, and other hardware.
• Process user requests, including software installations and hardware provisioning.
• Provide user assistance via phone, email, remote desktop tools, or direct onsite visits.
• Track IT hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate documentation and lifecycle monitoring.
• Handle user requests for AV equipment setup, video conferencing assistance, and event support coordination.
• Conduct installation, configuration, setup, and disposal of approved network and end-user devices.
• Verify network layouts according to design specifications.
• Perform basic network device configurations as guided by the L3 team.

Preventive Maintenance and Hardware Support

• Conduct performance monitoring and analysis of networking devices, cabling, and hardware at field locations.
• Implement predictive maintenance strategies to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Perform firmware updates and software upgrades for network devices.
• Adhere to preventive maintenance best practices, work permits, and HSE procedures.
• Conduct regular health checks, updates, and hardware diagnostics on end-user devices.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and servicing of AV systems.
• Replace printer spare parts and conduct initial diagnostics for all end-user hardware issues (Windows, Linux, macOS).
• Coordinate with central IT support teams and relevant vendors for warranty-based repairs or part replacements.
• Assist with the shipment or delivery of devices for further assessment or repair.
• Adapt to future updates in the hardware support model and act as the primary point of coordination for onsite support and hardware repair.

Supported Platforms

The role requires familiarity with the following platforms:

• Core Routing and Switching: Cisco ASR 9000 series, Catalyst 6509, 6513, 4510, 9300, 9200, 3850, 3750, and 2960.
• Industrial Switches: Cisco IE300 and IE4000 series.
• Wireless Infrastructure: Indoor and outdoor access points.
• Collaboration Solutions: Cisco Room Bar and Cisco Navigator, including Cisco RoomOS.

Printer Support

Printer support will follow the existing customer model, provided on an on-call basis. The vendor will offer remote assistance or scheduled service visits as needed. Minor issues will be handled in coordination with the on-site support team, while more complex issues will be escalated accordingly. Printers currently in the vendor-managed inventory will continue to operate under the existing printing services contract. Toner and other consumables (excluding print paper) will be stocked and maintained at the customer premise. All necessary licenses are in place, and devices will connect to the print server via IP for centralized management.
