About Dar Al Riyadh and the Role

Dar Al Riyadh is seeking a Sr. Landscape Architect to join its team in Tabuk. This full-time position requires over 10 years of experience and involves comprehensive oversight of landscape and architectural works within large-scale residential and infrastructure developments. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with design standards, specifications, and client requirements throughout project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor landscape and architectural works for compliance with approved designs, IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, codes, and client requirements.
  • Oversee hardscape elements, including paving, kerbs, walkways, plazas, boundary treatments, landscape structures, street furniture, and public-realm components.
  • Supervise softscape works, encompassing planting, trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and soil preparation.
  • Coordinate and monitor irrigation systems and their interfaces with utilities, drainage, electrical, and infrastructure networks.
  • Review residential architectural works, including external finishes, façades, entrances, boundary walls, and architectural details, particularly at landscape interfaces.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress against approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and schedules.
  • Participate in inspections, snagging, punch-list preparation, rectification, testing, and final handover processes.
  • Support the review of variations, change requests, quantities, and technical justifications related to landscape and architectural works.
  • Maintain technical records and contribute to weekly/monthly reports, progress monitoring, risk identification, and issue tracking.

Project Coordination and Technical Review

  • Review contractors' shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, samples, mock-ups, and technical proposals.
  • Coordinate landscape and architectural interfaces with civil, roads, utilities, drainage, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
  • Identify design clashes, constructability issues, and interface conflicts, coordinating their resolution effectively.
  • Support integration between infrastructure development and residential/superstructure construction phases.
  • Monitor contractor progress, resource allocation, material usage, and potential delays or quality issues.
  • Participate in technical and coordination meetings with the Client, developers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Review technical submissions and provide informed recommendations to PMC/Client management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape architecture.
  • Strong experience in large-scale residential and housing developments.
  • Demonstrated experience covering both landscape and architectural works.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in hardscape, softscape, irrigation, public realm, and external works.
  • Experience across both infrastructure and superstructure/building phases of projects.
  • Previous experience in PMC, engineering consultancy, or construction supervision is strongly preferred.
  • Saudi Arabia or GCC project experience is strongly preferred.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred or required where applicable.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of landscape and architectural construction practices, materials, specifications, BOQs, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
  • Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), constructability, variations, and project controls.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
