The Role: Data Management Technician (Level 1)
BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Data Management Technician (Level 1) for a full-time position in Taif. This role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The Data Management Technician (Level 1) is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of Data Management Cell (DMC) activities. This involves maintaining frequent contact with maintenance support organisations to assist with ESS Activities and preparing and presenting maintenance status reports to Senior RSAF officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all Data Management training and day-to-day activities within the Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF).
- Ensure all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities within the Area of Responsibility comply with current processes and procedures, carried out by appropriately authorised, qualified, and experienced personnel.
- Maintain standards for all documentation and data in aircraft engineering and servicing.
- Ensure timely implementation of Modifications, Special Instructions (technical), and Non-Routine Inspections (NIR’s) for forward maintenance aircraft.
- Manage and supervise non-secret Electronic Deliverable Data (*, UMP) held by the DMC.
- Maintain effective communication and liaison with both internal and external agencies, particularly regarding aircraft acceptance/dispatch and queries from the maintenance squadron.
- Monitor and dispatch technical queries to relevant agencies on Team Centre and maintain the squadron register.
- Ensure electronic F700 Quality Assurance (QA) and data QA checks are performed when required, documented, and controlled appropriately.
- Supervise and manage the acceptance and departure of aircraft from the squadron, from a data and paperwork perspective.
- Exercise delegated health and safety responsibilities over all personnel under their control, including other persons affected by their work activities.
- Collect and archive all completed Tool Control forms TTP 108 Forms A & B on a monthly basis for a period of 3 months.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Education to HNC level or a recognised equivalent, or relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace-applied related training.
- Demonstrable experience as a supervisor conducting Data Management on a busy, military operational flying unit.
- Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship in industry/military or a similar qualification in aircraft systems.
- Previous ESS experience with a formal ‘Q’ annotation.
- Extensive post-qualification experience in military fast jet maintenance support within an operational military flying environment.
- Good level of interpersonal skills to coordinate activities and the ability to communicate, influence, and direct decision-making.
- Solid understanding of company processes and procedures, coupled with industry knowledge.
Desirable Attributes
- An understanding of engineering operating procedures.
- Proven managerial experience within the aerospace industry, preferably gained on 3rd and/or 4th Generation military aircraft at a Supervisor level or equivalent.
- Experience working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country.
- The ability to act upon their own initiative within the scope of their job.
- A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail.
- A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
