About the Master Data Steward Role

Astek Middle East is seeking a Master Data Steward to join our team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position is designed for a detail-oriented professional responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and governance of enterprise master data across various business domains.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Master Data Steward collaborates closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure master data is managed according to established governance policies. This role supports operational excellence and contributes to informed business decision-making. It offers an opportunity for early-career professionals to develop expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and enterprise data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of enterprise master data across multiple domains, including item, supplier, and location data.
• Process master data requests in accordance with MDM governance policies, procedures, and established workflows.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to manage master data creation, updates, and changes.
• Coordinate with data owners and cross-functional stakeholders to support enterprise data initiatives.
• Monitor data quality metrics and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Apply data governance standards across business functions to enhance master data quality and compliance.
• Analyze master data and participate in data cleansing, quality improvement, testing, and issue resolution activities.
• Review exception reports and perform timely system updates to support downstream business operations.
• Support master data activities during system implementations and continuous improvement projects.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams for all master data-related activities.

Education and Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Administration, Data Stewardship, or similar data management roles.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), Database fundamentals, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality Management, and Data Governance principles.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, cross-functional teamwork, and strong organizational and time management skills.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, covering operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves working within a collaborative environment to manage and govern enterprise master data effectively.
