About the Role

Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah is seeking an A/C Technician to join its maintenance team in Makkah. This full-time role is essential for ensuring optimal temperature and air quality control throughout the hotel premises. The position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field, offering an opportunity to contribute to a professional hospitality environment.

Role Purpose

The A/C Technician is responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of various temperature and air quality control systems. This role requires a professional approach to maintenance, focusing on delivering effective technical solutions and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the hotel's facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel.
• Monitor the performance of refrigeration systems and their components.
• Verify the functionality of all door closing systems on walk-in coolers and freezers, including door gaskets and latches.
• Inspect and maintain defrosting systems and the automation of ice makers.
• Address maintenance requests received from various hotel departments.
• Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
• Check the performance of air-conditioning and chilled water systems.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to identify failures in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and assist with function setup.
• Maintain strict control over the venting of CFCs to the atmosphere.
• Undertake overhauling of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Check all refrigeration and oil levels and oversee major repairs.
• Cooperate with and inform the Engineering Storekeeper regarding parts procurement.
• Execute all tasks in adherence to country technical regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 year of experience in A/C and refrigeration maintenance or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated ability to perform technical tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Commitment to safety protocols and technical regulations.

Operational Context

This is a full-time position within the hotel's engineering department. The A/C Technician will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the continuous operation and maintenance of critical hotel infrastructure while upholding high standards of service and safety.
