This full-time position offers a key leadership role within the hotel's executive committee, reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager and with a functional reporting line to the Area Human Resources Senior Director.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a member of the Human Resources organization, the Director will provide comprehensive human resources generalist and specialist knowledge to the hotel. Key responsibilities include overseeing talent acquisition, onboarding processes, team development, performance management, and hotel staff training. The role requires effective utilization of technology and guidance to employees to achieve business objectives. The Director will operate with a significant degree of independence to develop and implement HR strategies that align with hotel and brand objectives, ultimately promoting business success through strategic HR services.

Human Resources Strategy and Execution

The Director will manage and advance HR initiatives, recruit and build talent management teams to support diversification strategies, and translate business priorities into actionable hotel HR plans. This includes implementing and sustaining HR practices, coordinating HR capital expenditure processes, and leading onboarding initiatives. The role involves evaluating leader progress, creating value through performance influence, and supervising the effective use of HR systems. As a key change agent, the Director will implement measures impacting employees and contribute to hotel executive committee meetings by providing insights on HR outcomes such as talent retention, critical vacancies, employee satisfaction, and training results.

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Management

This function involves analyzing vacancy gaps to balance talent development with business needs, serving as a guide for recruitment process facilitators, and seeking opportunities for process and employee optimization. The Director will make HR decisions, manage hotel talent pools and compensation lines, and develop HR policies related to employment in conjunction with the recruitment manager, including negotiating salary and benefits. Oversight of recruitment and onboarding process results, and ensuring managers are equipped for performance evaluations and timely compensation, are critical aspects of this responsibility.

Compensation and Training Oversight

The role includes periodically analyzing internal and external compensation environments and leading the development of the overall employee compensation strategy. Support for the development and appropriate use of compensation systems, tools, plans, and policies is required. Participation in the analysis of quarterly internal stock options and resolving related issues will be necessary. The Director will create and implement compensation management packages, particularly for recognition and incentive plans aligned with hotel priorities. Furthermore, ensuring the completion of HR staff responsibilities, appropriate training for HR staff, and continuous strengthening of employee relations management thinking are key components of this area.
