Since 1999, Jumeirah has been recognized for its distinguished beachfront resorts, city hotels, and exclusive residences, known for warm service and distinctive guest experiences. An opportunity is available for a Health and Safety Executive to join Jumeirah The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, specifically for Saudi National Talent.

Role Purpose

The Health and Safety Executive supports the implementation and maintenance of robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across the resort's operations. This full-time role focuses on ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering a safe working and guest environment within Jumeirah The Red Sea.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine HSE inspections across operational areas, documenting observations, ensuring timely follow-up, and closure.
  • Support workplace risk assessments and assist departments in implementing effective control measures to minimize health and safety risks.
  • Assist with the investigation of incidents, accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, including reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor contractor and third-party activities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and safe working practices.
  • Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including evacuation drills, emergency response exercises, equipment inspections, and departmental readiness reviews.
  • Assist in the implementation and continuous review of HSE policies, procedures, SOPs, risk assessments, and incident management processes.
  • Monitor environmental compliance activities, including waste management, chemical storage, spill prevention, environmental records, and regulatory documentation.
  • Support beach and waterfront safety compliance by reviewing safety signage, emergency access, rescue and first aid equipment readiness, incident reporting procedures, and emergency response requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance assessments related to health, safety, environmental, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including inspection reports, incident reports, risk assessments, training records, and compliance records.
  • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for colleagues, contractors, and third-party personnel.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Human Resources, Recreation, and other operational departments on HSE and compliance matters.
  • Support pre-opening readiness activities, including site walkdowns, departmental inspections, operational testing, and corrective action tracking.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-3years of relevant experience in health and safety.
  • This position is open to Saudi National Talent.
  • A foundational understanding of health, safety, and environmental principles and practices.

The Health and Safety Executive operates within a dynamic luxury hospitality environment at Jumeirah The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires close collaboration with various operational departments to integrate HSE best practices and ensure a safe and compliant resort environment.
