About the Role

Elsewedy Electric Power Systems Projects is seeking a Health Safety Environment Officer to join our team. This full-time position is based in the Makkah region, covering projects across Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in health, safety, and environment management.

Role Summary

The Health Safety Environment Officer is responsible for conducting day-to-day workplace assessments, inspections, and monitoring of all HSE aspects. This work will be performed in strict adherence to the Project HSE action plan. The role also involves reporting any deviations to senior management and providing assistance with essential HSE documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior and lead levels in following up on the implementation of project HSE requirements, HSE regulations, all relevant legislation, and client requirements.
• Participate with senior and lead levels in monitoring construction activities and facilities inspection, ensuring execution as per the project HSE inspection and testing plan.
• Follow up on the implementation of all actions, works, and services undertaken by site functions in accordance with Method Statement Risk Assessment (MSRA), Permit-to-Work (PTW), lifting plans, and corrective action plans.
• Follow up on actions with subcontractors as per walk-down results, meeting actions, and performance review action plans.
• Report any incidents in the assigned area, such as unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near-misses, or accidents.
• Exercise the authority to stop unsafe work or non-conformity works that contravene the project HSE plan, company procedures, or HSE standards.

Safety and Quality Compliance

• Maintain HSE standards and comply with the Company’s HSE Management System requirements.
• Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
• Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role.
• Preferred Qualification: NIOSH- Occupational Health and Safety Specialist.

Work Environment

This full-time position operates within the Makkah region, with responsibilities spanning projects in Jeddah and Makkah. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across our operations.
