About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Lifeguard to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role involves ensuring the safety of guests in the swimming area and maintaining the recreation facility, while promoting a relaxing atmosphere in adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques for swimmers requiring assistance.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Clean and maintain the pool deck, including washing and mopping.

Operational Duties and Standards

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; ensure a clean and professional appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and co-workers.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management.

Physical Requirements

• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and navigate ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.

  • Any additional certification or training required by local and state agencies.
