About the Role

ENGIE Solutions Middle East is seeking an MEP Engineer to join their team in the Eastern Province. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and is integral to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within King Salman Energy Park (SPARK).

Role Context and Impact

The MEP Engineer will support the inspection, maintenance, and performance optimization of MEP systems across SPARK's infrastructure and building assets. This includes tenant facilities, substations, pumping stations, utility corridors, and common areas. The role involves close collaboration with senior engineers, Facilities Management (FM) teams, and service providers to uphold high operational standards and system integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance and operational status of MEP systems, including HVAC, water supply, drainage, fire protection, lighting, power distribution, and pumping stations.
  • Conduct site inspections and support maintenance activities for MEP systems across infrastructure and building facilities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, fault analysis, and resolution of MEP-related technical issues.
  • Support the review of method statements, risk assessments, and maintenance procedures from contractors.
  • Ensure building MEP systems are maintained according to specifications, tenant guidelines, and health and safety standards.
  • Support the technical review and commissioning of new or refurbished MEP installations.
  • Assist in implementing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules in coordination with O&M contractors.
  • Conduct field verification of maintenance activities to ensure alignment with SLAs and technical standards.
  • Maintain records of completed works, service reports, and contractor performance.
  • Monitor spare parts usage and support timely identification of required materials.
  • Coordinate with FM teams to minimize downtime and ensure timely resolution of urgent issues.
  • Assist in tracking consumption data for utilities such as electricity, water, and chilled water across MEP systems.
  • Identify abnormal usage trends and report potential inefficiencies or faults.
  • Support the implementation of energy efficiency measures and corrective actions.
  • Work with sustainability teams to improve performance through data-driven insights and technical adjustments.
  • Ensure all MEP activities comply with local regulations, SPARK standards, and international codes (*, SBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IEC).
  • Participate in safety inspections and enforce compliance with HSE protocols during site activities.
  • Assist with documentation and audits related to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with external contractors and vendors to support ongoing MEP maintenance works and service delivery.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Provide site-level coordination during minor works, equipment replacements, and system upgrades.
  • Maintain up-to-date MEP documentation, including drawings, asset registers, test reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, condition assessments, and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Support the integration of MEP asset data into CAFM/CMMS platforms for centralized monitoring and tracking.

Reporting and Collaboration

The MEP Engineer reports directly to the Senior MEP Engineer. Internal collaboration includes Facilities Management, Utilities and Sustainability Teams, Engineering and Projects, HSE and Compliance, and Procurement and Vendor Management. External stakeholders include O&M contractors and service providers, engineering consultants, utility suppliers, and regulatory bodies for inspections and compliance matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in MEP engineering.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MEP systems within industrial or large-scale facility environments.
  • Familiarity with relevant local regulations and international codes (*, SBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IEC).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Eastern Province, supporting operations within King Salman Energy Park (SPARK).
