Deputy Construction Manager MEP

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Deputy Construction Manager – MEP to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in hospitality or large-scale projects due to their complex nature.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of MEP systems for projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Manage all MEP aspects of projects from initial concept through to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in MEP systems design, installation, and operation, addressing complex engineering challenges as they arise.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of MEP designs and installations through comprehensive reviews, inspections, and testing protocols.
• Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers and designers, fostering their professional development and maintaining high performance standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for the procurement of MEP equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding MEP systems, addressing concerns and providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing MEP systems design, installation, and operation.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in MEP engineering, implementing innovative solutions and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP construction management.
• Demonstrated experience in developing policies, standards, inspection procedures, and evaluation tools for MEP matters.
• Experience coordinating activities such as plumbing, fire protection, and electrical engineering as part of project requirements.
• Proven ability to ensure compliance based on standard and statutory requirements.
• Experience in hospitality or large-scale projects is strongly preferred.
