About the Peer Reviewer Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking qualified individuals for a part-time, long-term remote peer review position in Economics. This role requires a high level of academic expertise and a commitment to upholding the integrity of scholarly publishing. The position is based in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a peer reviewer, you will be responsible for critically evaluating academic manuscripts submitted for publication. Your assessment will guide the editorial decision-making process, ensuring that published research meets rigorous academic standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the originality and novelty of the research, determining its contribution to the field.
  • Evaluating the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
  • Verifying that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date literature.
  • Analyzing the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are supported by data and are significant to the discipline.
  • Providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential ethical concerns.
  • Recommending publication status (accept, revise, or reject) to the journal editor based on the comprehensive evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Economics.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A record of publishing at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
  • A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles in Economics.
  • Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
