About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to oversee and manage the organization's procurement processes. This full-time role involves leading the acquisition of goods, services, and materials, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. The Procurement Supervisor will play a key role in optimizing procurement functions, developing strategies, and managing supplier relationships.

Role Overview

The Procurement Supervisor collaborates with various internal stakeholders, including department heads, to understand their specific procurement needs and develop corresponding plans. This position is central to ensuring an efficient and compliant procurement lifecycle, from initial identification of needs to contract negotiation and supplier performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies aligned with organizational objectives and efficient processes.
  • Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, including identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, forecast needs, and develop procurement plans.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate capabilities, and assess market trends for informed decisions.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiate pricing and contractual terms, and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Analyze procurement data and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Train and mentor procurement staff, provide guidance on processes, and promote professional development.
  • Manage and resolve procurement-related issues or disputes, including supplier performance or contract non-compliance.
  • Support HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in procurement. The role requires a professional with a strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
