Job Description

About the Role

ALPLA Group is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves overseeing procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials while maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure materials, parts, supplies, and equipment efficiently, ensuring appropriate quality and specifications.
  • Identify and evaluate vendors for materials, equipment, or supplies, assessing product availability and sales terms.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable department to ensure timely supplier payments, report aged payments, and resolve outstanding cases.
  • Report department KPIs and analyze deviations from targets.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of action plans for all audits, closing open items promptly.
  • Develop payment terms with suppliers to reduce cash purchases and update the price matrix monthly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records and evaluation reports.
  • Identify and report potential risks such as price increases or material shortages due to supplier issues.
  • Implement procurement strategies and policies, ensuring all purchase orders comply with company guidelines.
  • Ensure a minimum of three suppliers are maintained for every item critical to customer supply.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to product quality, delivery, or service, and address vendor or contractor grievances.
  • Conduct annual supplier evaluations and track all cost savings initiatives.
  • Maintain tracking records for all purchase orders and regularly update order management systems to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and manage supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in reporting KPIs and analyzing data for decision-making.
  • Experience in implementing procurement strategies and policies.
