Role Overview

HCO is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join its team in Al Ula, Al Madinah. This full-time position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and focuses on leading and supervising construction activities related to water storage tanks and associated infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all construction activities for water storage tanks and related infrastructure.
• Act as the primary site representative, coordinating with contractors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved program and project requirements.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and utility interfaces.
• Oversee site inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality control activities.
• Identify technical issues, construction risks, delays, and non-conformities, ensuring timely resolution.
• Monitor contractor performance, HSE compliance, and corrective actions.
• Review progress reports, site documentation, RFIs, NCRs, and project records.
• Support testing, commissioning, project closeout, and final handover processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant construction and infrastructure experience.
• Strong experience in water storage tanks, water infrastructure, utilities, or similar projects.
• Previous PMC/consultancy experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in construction supervision and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience reviewing technical submissions, drawings, method statements, and contractor documentation.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC, HSE, testing, commissioning, and handover requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
