Resident Engineer

About the Role

Esnad Watan is seeking a Resident Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring extensive experience in construction supervision and project management. The Resident Engineer will lead the construction supervision team and ensure project delivery aligns with established standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Construction Supervision team, overseeing all aspects of project delivery.
• Act as the Consultant's representative, coordinating effectively with the Client, Contractor, PMC, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved designs, specifications, contract terms, quality standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Monitor project progress, adherence to schedule, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Review and approve contractors’ work programs, method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and other technical submissions.
• Manage contract administration processes, including Requests for Information (RFIs), variations, claims, progress reports, and payment certifications.
• Lead coordination meetings to resolve technical, contractual, and multidisciplinary issues.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, project completion, and final handover procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Architecture.
• A minimum of 20 years of overall experience in the field.
• At least 10 years of experience specifically within KSA/GCC.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

Required Skills

• Strong project management capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
• Proficiency in using Aconex for official project correspondence.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.

Work Environment

This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves leading a construction supervision team on significant projects. The Resident Engineer will work closely with various project stakeholders, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
