About the Role

Hintel Middle East is seeking a Senior Design Manager – Landscape to lead the planning, design, and delivery of landscape masterplanning and public realm initiatives for large-scale developments in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves shaping public spaces, driving placemaking strategies, and contributing to significant projects, ensuring design excellence and alignment with the overarching masterplan vision. The position is based in Medina and is a full-time, permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive landscape masterplanning and public realm design activities from conceptualization through detailed design and implementation.
• Manage and coordinate external landscape consultants to ensure high design quality, foster innovation, and meet project objectives.
• Review and provide expert guidance on landscape design deliverables, ensuring integration with architectural elements, urban planning, infrastructure, and environmental considerations.
• Drive the strategic development of placemaking strategies and the creation of public realm environments that enhance user experience and community value.
• Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams for successful project delivery.
• Ensure landscape designs adhere to sustainability objectives, project standards, budgetary constraints, and delivery schedules.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, landscape masterplanning, and public realm design.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale developments and major masterplans.
• Proven track record of working with leading developers or top-tier international design consultancies.
• Expertise in landscape masterplanning, placemaking, public realm design, and coordinating multidisciplinary design processes.
• Strong capabilities in stakeholder management, consultant management, and design review processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence effectively and collaborate across complex project environments.
