About the Role

This position is offered on behalf of a partner company that manages all applications and next steps. The partner company is looking for a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to be based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This senior leadership role plays a pivotal part in shaping and executing the overall legal strategy for a fast-growing, tech-enabled hospitality company. Operating at the intersection of law, business, and operations, this role ensures the company's safe growth while effectively managing complex regulatory, contractual, and legal risks across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, influencing critical strategic decisions for expansion, partnerships, and enterprise risk management. This is a high-impact position where the legal infrastructure is designed not only to protect the business but also to enable expansion and speed of operations.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate is a highly pragmatic legal leader capable of translating complex legal frameworks into actionable business guidance. This role encompasses a broad legal portfolio including commercial contracts, employment law, privacy, corporate governance, insurance, and dispute resolution.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's overall legal strategy, advising the executive leadership and CEO on legal, regulatory, and risk-related matters impacting business growth and operations.
  • Oversee commercial contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and standardizing agreements with suppliers, partners, enterprise clients, and service providers.
  • Manage litigation strategy and dispute resolution, including selection of external counsel, risk assessment, and settlement decisions.
  • Design and oversee enterprise risk management and insurance programs, ensuring adequate coverage and handling claims and risk transfer mechanisms.
  • Provide legal guidance on employment matters across multiple jurisdictions, supporting HR in building compliant and defensible workforce practices.
  • Lead corporate governance and entity management, and support financing, investment, and strategic transactions.
  • Oversee intellectual property, privacy, and data protection compliance across products, platforms, and operations.
  • Build and lead the internal legal and compliance function while effectively managing external counsel relationships.
  • Develop scalable legal frameworks, policies, and templates that enable efficient and consistent business operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A qualified lawyer with a Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and a current bar admission in Canada or a relevant jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of 8 years of legal experience, including significant experience as in-house counsel supporting operational companies in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong experience in commercial law, contract negotiation, and enterprise risk management.
  • Proven experience managing litigation, regulatory matters, and external legal counsel.
  • A deep understanding of employment law, corporate governance, and transactional legal work.
  • Familiarity with privacy, data protection, and intellectual property frameworks.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate legal risks into practical business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in complex, high-growth, and ambiguous environments.
  • Experience in tech-enabled, platform-based, or hospitality-related industries is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize the on-shelf presence of PepsiCo products in all assigned outlets.
  • Adhere strictly to planograms for both on-shelf and off-shelf displays.
  • Report any non-compliance with agreed arrangements to the pre-seller immediately.
  • Provide the pre-seller with the latest market information to capitalize on selling opportunities.
  • Call on specific Out-of-Territory (OT) outlets as per the daily journey plan provided by your supervisor.
  • Merchandise Super Snack Foods Limited (SSFL) products within OT stores across various access points, including shelves, stands, and floor displays.
  • Place Point of Sale (POS) materials wherever applicable next to SSFL displays.
  • Ensure all access points are merchandised according to approved planograms.
  • Rotate products using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method and remove sub-standard products.
  • Maintain clean and fresh stock of SSFL products on the shelf at all times.
  • Monitor and report competitive activities.
  • Report any deviations from agreed terms with assigned OT customers/outlets.
  • Report daily activities to your supervisor at the end of each day.
  • Participate in sampling or redemption campaigns when required.
  • Maintain appropriate personal appearance and professional behavior in line with the Frito-Lay code of conduct.
