Senior Project Engineer

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their full-time team. This role is central to ensuring that projects are completed safely and meet all objectives through meticulous planning, scheduling, and resource management. The Senior Project Engineer will also be responsible for cost control, technical direction, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Engineer assists the Project Manager in overseeing various operational management areas. These include Human Resource Management, Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management. The role also covers Subcontract management, Material Procurement, and the overall Management of all Project System Assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Supervise on-site activities, including scheduling labor, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, risks, and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, to maintain accurate records.
• Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to provide updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and forecasting expenses to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies to enhance project delivery and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among project teams and subcontractors.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this Senior Project Engineer position should possess 8 years of relevant experience. The role requires a strong understanding of project management principles and practices, with a focus on delivering projects safely and efficiently.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company. The role involves both office-based planning and on-site supervision, requiring a dynamic approach to project execution and team coordination.
